Default All AFL games can be watched on NIFTY TV

Here's the link to their site. You can download the AFL player and watch the games on that. So, whatever Power games aren't on the NFL Network can be watched through NIFTY TV.

Pittsburgh's CW is going to air all 9 home games and 93.7 The Fan will broadcast all regular and post-season games. I don't understand why the Power agreed to let CW only air the home games. Won't that discourage people from purchasing tickets to attend the games if they can just watch it from their couches for free. Just seems backwards to me.

Really glad 93.7 The Fan is broadcasting all the games. Just less time we have to listen to idiots call into that station. :P

I have always agreed on your assessment about televising home games. In this case, maybe The Power needs to show some product to get people to say " hey, let's go to one of the Power games!"

Post a schedule with the watch and listen times.

We will have to do some GDTs. I am going to make an effort to follow them. I always said i would if we got a team here.

    Thank You!

I was just going to go and find out if there would be local coverage. CW works for me.

That is bizarre that they arent broadcasting the road games and I agree about discouraging people from going to home games. Are none of the road games being televised?

It is strange that they're only televising the home games locally.

I can remember waaaay back in the day when it was very rare to see a buccos home game on TV. Now, I'm talking back in the 80s before they struck a deal with KBL to televise their games. Things changed after that. But, back then, you basically had to go to a home game to see it. Made sense considering how bad attendance was and they needed to get people to the games instead of just sitting home and watching them. Usually, if the Pirates were on TV, it was a road game.

Considering that the Power is new, I would think they'd want to follow the same philosophy, at least initially. Televise all of the road games instead. Get butts into the seats at CEC instead of sitting on their couches. We'll see how it works out attendance wise. Anyway, whatever games the CW and the NFL Network aren't showing, we can at least watch on our computers.
