    Default Eason and His Backups?

Did we get any good play from Eason, Hood and/or Harris (did the latter play?).

I have a feeling that Hood is going to be asked to put on a few pounds, play NT and be the new Casey Hampton, with a 2010 draft choices, Harris, or somebody being booked at DE for depth.

Hood doesn't seem to haev the explosion for DE in our system, although "it's early and he's young!" (Not to mention, according to Jay Caulfied, "Mario is in the best shape of his life!")

Eason had 1 tackle, nothing for Hood... Harris was inactive...

... Nothing too stellar stood-out at me though...

Not to sure about that. I read somewhere that the Steelers want him to get stronger though.

With Aaron Smith on injured reserve and his replacement, Travis Kirschke, out with a calf injury, Nick Eason started only his fifth NFL game and did a good job in run support as the Broncos had just 27 yards on 14 carries. But DE Brett Keisel made the big plays, getting two sacks in the first half. Rookie DE Ziggy Hood had the pressure on Kyle Orton's first interception that was returned for touchdown

Thanks Bucco. I really want this kid to make it (Harris, too) and I can't help but think playing more is the way for him to get there. Yet, they still seem to bring him along slowly (on other posts I've noted how many teams start their #1 picks, but not the Steelers.)
With Smith out, you have a perfect opportunity to give Hood a majority of the snaps, which is what i woudl liek to see. Easom never is going to get any better, what you see is what you get, while Hood could get better and soon.

Guys, anything on when we will get Kirschke back? I know Tomlin said it was too soon to know about injuries because they just got back to ad Burgh so he didn't know.
