I am surprised to see Walker ranked so low. He may not be able to duplicate last years number, but offensively he is better than an average 2b.

Walker isn't bad though when you look at this was in the entire MLB. That's pretty much middle of the pact which is pretty good for a player with less than a season under his belt at the MLB level and playing the 2B position himself.

He's ranked #8 in the NL and looking at who is in front of him, I could understand. Walker is probably a better hitter than Rickie Weeks but Weeks threw in 25 homers. Dan Uggla smacked 32 Homers. Then you have Phillips, Utley, johnson, Prado.... Lopezx is the only one I could see Walker really being a head of... and on that list are 2 Braves players in the Top 8 that logged too many AB's to both have played at 2B...

So walker could safely being 7 or 6th amongst regular starting 2B's

In fantasy baseball I think 2B is a stronger position than a lot of people expect and 3B is actually weaker than you might think. The top performers at the two positions actually put up pretty similar numbers, and 2B may actually run a little deeper than third.

For Walker it depends on the scoring format.

I think Walker eeks into the top 10 in a pure Points league, especially when you consider where he's likely going to hit in the lineup (2nd or 3rd). In that format I'd take Walker over guys like Weeks, Johnson, Figgins and maybe even Hill and Roberts.

In a Rotisserie or Category format Walker suffers since he doesn't do anything particularly well. In those formats I'd take any of those other guys above who give a better shot at HR and/or SB.
