Parker, Polamalu closer to return
The Pittsburgh Steelers appear one step closer to getting two of their key playmakers back on the field. Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that RB Willie Parker and S Troy Polamalu would return to practice without limitations on Wednesday as they make their way back from injuries.
Their status for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns will be determined later in the week, said Tomlin, so both will be considered day to day.
“It will really be interesting to see how they respond after getting work on Wednesday,” Tomlin said.
Parker has missed the last two games with a turf toe injury. Polamalu, who suffered a torn left knee ligament in the season-opener, returned to practice on a limited basis last week. The Steelers’ plan was to have him return this week.
Tomlin also said during his news conference Tuesday that DE Aaron Smith suffered a “significant” shoulder injury in last Sunday’s win over Detroit.
I am happy to hear the Troy is back but I am not so excited about Willie. If these coaches have him start against the Browns, while Mendy sits, I am going to lose my freakin' mind.

I think Parker will get the Timmons rotation when he came back from injury...let him touch the ball and get dropped for a loss every few series or so.

What's up with A. Smiths shoulder? I don't really recall anything happening during the game

Didn't he also stay in the game against The Patriots a few years ago after he tore his bicep?

Well with Smith's injury, I have little if any doubt that Troy will play on Sunday versus the Browns.
