It sounds like he could be close, but I hope they bring him back slowly. Say, start him off on the power play and build from there. I really like the way this team has played without him and would really like their chances with him in there, although I half think that he should shut it down for the year rather than risk another serious concussion this season.

I'd be shocked if he's back that soon. No way he's playing april 8 @ Islanders. Possibly the last game, apirl 10 @ Thrashers.

Of course he could have a setback so I'm not counting on him coming back this season. I just hope that he's not bull****ting the doctors!!!

Id have to find the link but I was reading something that Rossi posted where someone slipped and said that Sid and Brooks will be inserted at the same time. I dont know if I believe next week but I am putting money on full practices next week.

I think he will be cleared to practice this week and if all goes well he will return on April 5th for the last home game against the Devils. They could always use the excuse that he needs a maintenance day or to work on conditioning to get out of the Isles game.

I think he will be OK. I am more worried about his groin acting up or something after having so much time off.

I don't think Sid's the BSing kind. He knows what he has, and is smart.

Could you imagine if he did come back for that Isles game? If one person laid a finger on him, there would be a bench clearing. It would be straight up warfare. Haha

I can see him being cleared to practice with his teammates this week at some point as well. I could also see them finding a way to possibly keep Sid out of that Islanders game but I believe that they want Sid to play a couple of games before the playoffs. That's a big adjustment going from not playing at all since early January to the extra physical rigors of the playoffs. Granted we'll be likely playing Tampa Bay, so the physicalness really won't be much from that finesse team but still, the Playoffs are a different animals than the Regular Season so you would think they want Sid to get a couple Regular Games in first to shake the rust, take the hits and get some sort of timing back.

That April 5th game sounds good too. It's a home game, it'll be against a Devils team who will be officially eliminated from the Playoffs. 3 games left, so if they choose to sit Sid in the enxt game which would be vs. the Islanders, they can while playing him against Atlanta in the season finale

Godard tells Tavares to tell the Islanders bench to not even breath on Sid or else.
