Default Crotta's sinker fits Charlie perfectly

Between Mike Crotta teaching Charlie M his sinker grip and Ray Searage switching Charlie to a 3/4 arm motion, might this be the year we see the GOOD Charlie?

Nice outing yesterday and all of spring for that matter.

Pls God, let it be so and cut us a break for once.

I dont see why not but on the flipside he could burn again. The kid has a lively arm and a really nice array of pitches. Hes still young enough at 26-27 where hes at the transition age of figuring things out as far as pitching as opposed to throwing.

The 3/4 thing. I saw that recently about him. Was it on the 30/30 show on mlb network? either way that switch looks like it was done more for deception. Gives batters a harder time seeing hos grip and release ans possibly could help with runners on base.

His windup and throwing motion is very similar to Roy Halladay's right now. I hope the results come close too.

I love the smell of double play ground balls in the morning. It smells like . . . victory.

Yeah... who the heck was it that made a comparison to Charlie Morton and Roy Halladay? Was it a Phillies announcer?

    From SI:

One scout said the Pirates' Charlie Morton, 2-12 last year, looks terrific, that he was throwing 96 with really impressive sink. "He's always had really good stuff,'' that scout said.
