    Default What a Start!!!

Very exciting opening series!!! Bucs take 2 out of 3 from the hated (by me at least) Cubbies. 2 road wins already, when they had only 17 all of last season. I like the agressiveness on the bases even when it doesn't work out. The big 4 Pedro,Walker Cutch and Tabata are off to hot starts. The pitching has been great,(with a few break downs) Need to tighten up the "D" can't afford to give games away. Man my blood is pumping.....

Crotta looked excellent in his first outing, wouldnt mind seeing him get a spot start, see if we have something, but if he can stay consisent, he looks like he could be a great middle reliever, to get us to the backend of our bullpen

Hope you enjoy the game, man... It'll get you primed for our outing in June....

I'm trying, man... But I'm going thru "ups & downs" lately that is clouding the issue for me... But overall, yea, I am as well... Lookin' forward to seeing everyone again....

... Hopefully this decent start continues. As I discussed with Kip on the phone this afternoon, it's all about fun... And it's all about rooting for your team... Who knows what will happen, but it really doesn't matter too terribly much at this point because it's all about the season-long ride as a fan...

The Pirates showed a lot of character in this opening series. I liked the hustle and determination and how they responded to yesterdays loss. I believe Hurdle has already tied JR for argued calls for a career as Pirates manager. It is good to get the first road series win out of the way.

I couldn't agree more! I enjoy watching the games and it's even better when we win! But I like what's being done to make them competetive in the long term. Other than that, I have too much life on my plate to bent out of shape over the off the field stuff! That's just me I guess!!

I was so angry when they sent Jaramillo. Then so pumped on the Pedro slow roller. Then what the heck with Ronny, but finally pumped up again. This team can play.

Leave Crotta in the pen. He will get hit second time around, but can be solid in his current role.

I was more ****ed that the cubs throw home to get jaramillo didnt suck than the actual decision. We have to get used to this. These guys are going to get sent this year and in some cases they be out like Jaramillo but in other cases that resulted in runs (Walker and Tabata) them aggressively going 1st to 3rd on a single/hit and run and just gunning it on throwing errors... we'll get some good.

I'd probably have sent Jaramillo. There was 2 outs where you needed nothing less than a single and down a run. That throw coming in could be off target, weak, the catcher could have a Ryan Doumit/ronny Paulino moment and drop it on a tag sweep or after the slide...

We'll be seeing a lot of these risks all year which is great IMO. work or don't work I like the aggressive approach
