    Default Ziggy Hood History Question??

Among the 30 allowable interview/visits to Pittsburgh for possible draftees, I thought the Steelers always brought in for an interview their ultimate #1 selection.

But, I read that Ziggy never was accorded that Pittsburgh interview because he had a, then, recent meeting with the team outside of Pittsburgh.?

Can anyone confirm that "historical" fact???

I don't have an answer to your question sorry but, I do have a Ziggy question of my own. Not trying to hijack your thread but here it goes.
Will Ziggy be the starter this season or will it go to Smith ? If we don't have a season this year I wonder if Smith will even be on the team the following year ?

I think it will depend on Smith's health.

IMO, Ziggy definitely should/will get more time at either DL position.

And, if they draft a 3-4 DE, Heyward or Taylor, who can play both DE and NT, ZH might be part of a "threesome" rotation, depending on much much of a rest they want to give their "starters."

I heard today that this draft class is loaded with very good defensive linemen...........does anyone know of this to be true ?

No more than "everyone says," since until they play you never can tell.

But, there should be a glut selected in Rounds one and two, along with 6-8 OTs, too.

Most of the mocks, plus those put otu by the networks, USA Today, Sporting News, SI, etc. etc.
show heavy DL picks in Round 1. There could be 15 or so taken through the third round.

Again for the Steelers, I would hope for one large OL or DL--the so-called "big uglies"--in Round 1 and the same in Round 2
