That's the thing...young team starting to develop, we're going to look good some days and other days...we're going to make the Vogelsongs of the world look like Gibsons....it happens.

Wish I could spin it like that to myself and feel good about it. I can't. this is Ryan Vogelsong we're talking about here.

Days like this make me want to

Getaway day games are a good way to gauge a team's attitude. In that regards ,today was an epic fail. 4 errors and we lost to Ryan Vogelsong ! A good day for a manager to throw some things in the clubhouse.

Lets not just pile on Pedro, the entire future core has been abysmal for the past two weeks. Nobody in this lineup is hitting for power whatsoever. Nobody is hitting in general. They're the worst lineup in the majors right now, next to San Diego, in my opinion.

    Let's not forget...

Ryan Vogelsong was the ORIGINAL "Ol' Electric Stuff" before there was Chuck Morton. We heard nothing but how great Vogelsong's "stuff" was, how he had the best stuff of the entire staff for a long time. We never saw it... until now or at least until our undisciplined bats saw it.

that's one thing that sort of worries me about Hurdle so far in this young season. We aren't really fundamentally playing small ball as much as it appears that we are playing more fo a sandlot baseball type of game. There's NO discipline at the plate by anyone as if the coaches are saying "just go out there and do your best". The pitching staff walk about as many batters as they strike out and it's not even really getting much better. It's a testament to our defense that we are criticize that we are even 11-14 because with the lack of K's, the amount of base runners and contact, if this defense were truly as bad as we all believe, we'd be lucky to have half a dozen wins right now.
