Miller Park has a retractable roof. It will be closed tonight.

Two other points that are only kind of related:

    1. The Marlins new stadium is also going to have a retractable roof. It's definitely a good idea to have the stadium close, but they might have been better off going with the full-on closed stadium. They said that they anticipate the roof being open for about 10 games per season. Seems like a lot of unnecessary expense if you're only going to open it 10 times a year.

    2. There have actually been more postponed games so far this year in the majors than all of last year. Only took 1 month. The way the weather has been for most of the Pirates home games this year I'm surprised they haven't added more to the count.

I wanna say it's a el nina? causing these ridiculous rains right up the ohio/missipppi valley this year and it's not moving either.

Why would the Marlins keep the roof closed that much? I can understand for rain and really hot days, but night time temperatures aren't unbearable at times and it doesn't rain a ton down there

There once was a whore from Milwaukee...
    Whose tooth was singularly gaulky...
    Her intention to please...
    While she sat eating cheese...
    Was to open beer cans...
    Sans incisors...
