    Default Remodeling:Beer and wine storage.

I am looking for ideas for beer and wine storage. I am hoping to remodel our modest bar next year. I am thinking of insetting a fridge into a storage room wall or maybe a wine storage unit. Has anyone done this and will you show pictures?

Never did it myself, but my sister lives in an old big house out in the country. She has a true wine cellar where she can store bottles at cellar temperature.

I don't know what your domicile setup is, but I do know that they sell those mini fridges that have wine racks built into them just for wine storage.

Can you take some pics of the area you want to convert and give a few more details? You might get some ideas after providing that info.

I have no room for a bar at all unfort. Would really love one to go with my new hobby. I'll probably end up finding a small fridge and put some tap handles on the front. Will have to go to the basement to fill unless I end up going with the crazy idea of running the lines up through the floor into the kitchen. Once I get my truck back I am going to grab some stuff to build some basic storage shelves for my fermenters, bottled beer and other brewing equipment. It sucks I have the smallest basement ever but I have to make do.

This should give you some idea. The short wall will have a cooler or refrigerator inset into it. The bar may curve from the short support wall to the storage room to the right. The opening to the left will stay open and lead to "behind the bar" and also a quick left to the restroom.

It's cozy now, but it is in dire need of improvement.

It also needs to get "wet".
