    Here is his rationale:

"... If he were in pro ball, Rendon would have sat out and gotten healthy and been fine. In college, he has gutted through it at less than his best to help his team. I'm not a doctor, nor a scout, but I'm believing in the 100-percent healthy Rendon we saw as a freshman and a sophomore. That guy was a stud."

The writeup in the subscribers section really has no confidence in the Pirates pick, which really throws off the whole draft (or at least the first several picks). It says the Pirates are leaning towards a college player, and still like Rendon, Cole, and Hultzen. HS kids are still in the mix, but on the outside.

Give me Rendon or Starling. Just please don't take Danny Hultzen, and I feel it's a win.

Gotta be Rendon or I'm gonna be ****es. If healthy, he is the undisputed choice to be the #1 pick.

I would prefer Rendon! I don't like drafting college pitchers!! They are way overused and always seem to have arm problems. Just look at Strausburg!!

Yes...I thought he looked terrible. One outfield misplayed hit and 2 K's!!!!! Didn't even play in the field.

Anyone notice Francisco Lindor is nowhere in the top 10? Guess those size issues really do have people worried. If he drops all the way to 12 though, could be a great steal for the Brewers.

    Jack Zduriencik says............

"...Much could hinge on Rendon's medical records, which teams are eagerly awaiting him to release. Rendon, like Cole and Starling, is being advised by Scott Boras.
"You have to basically work through the agent," Zduriencik said of the medical records. "A player has to grant permission, and the agent is in the middle of that. A lot is at stake for them, too.

"If a player has a chance to go very high, it makes sense, if they feel very good about their medical history, why not release it? Disclose it. It could benefit the player. If you don't get (the medical history), for whatever reason, you might have to ask why."

Anthony Rendon - Still the Most Talented Player in the 2011 Class
by Jeff Reese on May 26, 2011 9:34 AM EDT

".....The injuries have been exceedingly inconvenient, certainly affecting his value to Rice, but long term, we are looking at the same player as we were a year ago. He has the highest ceiling in this draft – some will certainly disagree with that opinion – while also having the best chance to reach it. The case for anyone else must be made on that player raising his stock to Rendon's level rather than Rendon coming back to the field."

Very good way to put it.
