    Jose A. Pagan, 76, played 15 seasons with three clubs

    Jose Pagan, who played 15 seasons in the majors between 1959 and 1973 with the San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies, passed away Tuesday at his home in Sebring, Fla. He was 76.

    I believe Jose had the game winning RBI in Game 7 of the '71 WS in a 2-1 Pirate victory. RIP Jose. A great utility man and pinch hitter. RIP.

    Rennie Stennett came up in July of 1971 and batted .353 in 50 games.The Pirates had to make a decision on their post season roster and they chose the veteran Pagan. If I'm remembering right the team still voted Stennett a full share of platoff money.
