Default Tabata to DL, Harrison heading to Toronto

In a PG report Jose Tabata was placed on the DL today, and Josh Harrison was headed to Toronto. Can Chase, Ronny, or Harrison play the OF? We need to keep some RH bats in the lineup. Has Brandon Wood ever played the OF?

I think Presley is a LH and the pitcher tonight is LH so wonder if he will even hit???

Before Tabata's injury, Presley was going to come up to DH supposedly, so righty or lefty they were going to put him in there.

I would rather someone go 0-4 than kill us defensively in the OF. If we beat toronto/win the series it will be because of pitching and defense, not our bats

Presley is starting in left tonight and Matt Diaz is the D.H.

Does anyone need further proof of our need for power than our DH having ZERO HR?

Well, it was actually the bats that got it done tonight and the bullpen in the 7th. Hopefully Maholm can put up another quality start and the Buccos can take game 2 and the series tomorrow.

Despite batting left-handed, Presley, 25, was in the starting lineup against the left-hander Jo-Jo Reyes .

Presley hit .348 against lefties, .330 against righties at Indianapolis this season, and Reyes' splits -- .276 for left-handed hitters and .291 for right-handed hitters -- are not drastic.

"Right-handed, left-handed, Alex has hit them all this year," Hurdle said. "I don't anticipate looking for outs for him against left-handed pitching."

Lack of power perhaps but Diaz went 3 for 4. He can do that every night without home runs for all I care

e actually had all of our lefties out there and got 4 hits out of them which on some nights is all that we can get. Didn't seem to matter much except that Matt Diaz finally smacked around a lefty like he was brought in to do

We have had some timely hits, even though the stats are not there.

Tonight, the 29th, could see Harrison at 3rd, Presley in left, possibly d'Arnaud at short and one of the new catchers! That would be 4 plug ins and whatever happens with right field and first base on a team with a winning record!
