    First of all...

    Secondly...
Carson sucks a bag of dicks, what team would ever sign a sub par pole smoker?

I never thought I would ever hear/read the words Jim Druckenmiller ever again I'd feel safe in predicting that the Cardinals would be a team that would go after Palmer.

Well, he can't blame Kimo for this. If he does indeed bail on Los Bungalos, I'll miss his noodley arm and the comparisons with that other progenitor of rainbow-like passes, Philip "Marmalard" Rivers.

Who in the world would want to play for that organization? I can't believe that Marv Lewis has put up with it for as long as he has.

Let Palmer go somewhere else. Seriously, who cares?

Well, it's one of the last sporting franchises that will pay you regardless of either skill or innate talent. Mike Brown also occasionally suggests moving a DE to TE, so there's a chance that you'd get a new contract if you got the old guy a coffee and Danish.

Thinking about it, the Cards did try Clown Shoes Anderson last year, maybe Palmer could end up there. Hey, if they want to stay AFCN, Dixon's a free agent in the near future...

Mike Brown will not let Carson play elsewhere... It's been a topic of conversation in Cincy this whole off-season... He is going to force Palmer to retire....

I look at it differently than most. I give Palmer credit, from what I read he's stashed away a nice sum of money, that's better than most players do. I respect the fact that if he's not happy, instead of collecting a pay check, and going through the motions he's willing to walk away.

New sign Carson Palmer won't return to the Bengals: Sold!
    06/29/2011

CINCINNATI - With Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer not talking, we can only gauge his movements by activity around him.

His brother, Jordan, refers to him as a former teammate. And since mid-winter we've been tracking his real estate transactions.

Channel 9 Sports was first to report he was preparing to list his Indian Hill home for sale, that he had actually done so, that he had accepted an offer on the property and now finally we can report that the deal has closed.

Who bought the home on five well-appointed acres and what was paid won't be revealed until the documents are filed with the Hamilton County Auditor. The home was listed at $2.1 million so there is some curiosity as to how much he moved off the asking price, which would indicate just how 'motivated' a seller he was.

Palmer, 31, went to the Bengals after the team wrapped up its 4-12 season and asked to be traded or he would retire from the NFL. The former Heisman Trophy winner's agent released a statement earlier this offseason saying that "because of the lack of success that Carson and the Bengals have experienced together, Carson strongly feels that a separation between him and the Bengals would be in the best interest of both parties."

Bengals owner Mike Brown has said numerous times he will not trade Palmer. The franchise took Palmer number one overall in the 2003 draft, hoping he could help rebuild the team along with head coach Marvin Lewis. The former USC Trojan led the Bengals to the playoffs in 2005 and 2009 - their only winning records in the last 20 years.

Assuming there is an NFL season in 2011, the writing is on the wall that the Bengals will be without the services of Palmer. He and his wife along with their children have moved back to California and the Bengals used their second round pick in April's draft on TCU quarterback Andy Dalton.

While it appears Palmer will never sport the orange and black again, it will be interesting to see what the Bengals do when the NFL lockout is lifted. Even if the Bengals wanted to trade Palmer, they cannot do so at this time. Once the lockout is lifted teams can negotiate trades and sign free agents. If the Bengals decide to entertain trade talks, you can bet Palmer will be near the top of the list for teams searching for quarterbacks.
