Thanks for video. Now I understand the commotion. What a ****-poor call. Reminds me of the phantom calls at 2B on a DP play when the infielder is "in the area" when he gets the feed.

On another note, I wonder when Hurdle is going to lose that wad of gum when arguing and it hits the ump in the face.

I thought for sure last night that Hurdle was going to suplex the Ump HE was ****ed. It wasn't a tantrum ****ed like McClendon stealing bases but more like Leyland who when he got ****ed you could feel it as a fan.

The best part I thought was Brown and Blass in the booth or was it Walk? I had the volume too low to tell the voices apart... They were yelling and *****ing themselves. That was the most alive I've heard our broadcasters sound since we clinched the playoffs in 1992

Greg Brown and John Wehner were calling the game last night.

As far as I understand, Blass doesn't travel. He's only there for the home games.

It turns out Meals horrible call was not the first one like it made in a major league game.

If Lugo was safe then Bream was out. Maybe this will be THAT moment where this team bonds together and gets the bats to come alive.....it's stuff like this that bring on the "us against the world mentality" that teams use to get going so to speak.

Yeah, I thought of that scene too after this happened. Unfortunately, what happened early this morning wasn't nearly as funny to me.
