Anyone that still had any thoughts at all of us having a shot at Hunter Pence can forget about it now. Can we pretty much hand Philthy the World Series now?

PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies acquired Astros right fielder Hunter Pence, two sources said Friday night. MLB Network analyst and SI.com reporter Jon Heyman confirmed the deal.

Pence was pulled from the Astros' game in Milwaukee in the bottom of the fifth inning. He had taken the field for warmups before Jason Michaels was sent out to replace him. Pence could be seen hugging teammates in the dugout before heading to the clubhouse.

It has been believed Class A first baseman Jonathan Singleton is part of the deal. The Threshers pulled him from their game in the ninth inning Friday, which would indicate he is part of the trade. Class A pitcher Jarred Cosart also could be part of the deal.
