Winner Selected By Fan Vote on NFL.com

Voters on NFL.com have made their choice. Wide receiver MIKE WALLACE of the Pittsburgh Steelers is the PEPSI NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK for games played on November 8 - 9, the NFL announced today.

Wallace caught four passes for 69 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown reception in Pittsburgh’s 28-10 win over the Denver Broncos.

Wallace was selected from among five finalists through fan votes on NFL.com/rookies. The other finalists were quarterback JOSH FREEMAN of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, linebacker BRIAN ORAKPO of the Washington Redskins, tight end BRANDON PETTIGREW of the Detroit Lions and cornerback JERRAUD POWERS of the Indianapolis Colts.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/rookies throughout the month of January. The winner will be announced at a press conference at Super Bowl XLIV in South Florida.

It ****es me off that Wallace got no love in USA Today's mid-year report card, when they didn't even mention him as one of the top offensive rookies.
