    Default HP touchpad

On sale for $100, if you can find one. They can reportedly be hacked to run android. For $100, it would be good as is, until it wore out!

    16gb for $100
    32gb for $150

You don't want one. They pulled the plug on the OS. It's a paper weight.

This was a big scam. I could not find one anywhere, yet read of people buying 10.

They are still advertising those things like crazy. Dood they are not worth 100 dollars. Once the thing starts bugging the **** out thats it. No updates, no apps. You are screwed. Maybe if someone can figure out how to put android on it but I wouldn't count on it.

Your Droid should work on wireless networks. Mine does.

I just read an article that HP is taking itself out of the market for these kind of devices...plus computers, etc. I don't have a link though.

I read that last night as well on Engadget i believe. Tablets are tough. HP needed to be a shell provider that provides that hardware to run others OS instead of trying to do what Apple and Blackberry do which is control both hardware and OS. As blackberry is starting to find out, its tough to compwte against apple. google is going the other route and buying up established hardware providers like Motorolla

Getting out of the computer market? I don't see that. They are one of the biggest if not the biggest computer manufacturer. What I don't get is how they give the thing 2 months on the market. All the investment. Ad campaign and then dont even see it through. Doesn't make sense. The blackberry playbook isn't doing well either but they are still at it.
