Both Scott and Marcus Gilbert had MRI's. Neither suffered ligament damage, which was first feared. Mike Tomlin said that both will miss a few days of practice. Very good news.

That is good news. I actually believe the line has a chance of being alot better this year if they can keep what they believe to be their starting five together and healthy for once.

I didn't think Scott wasn't all the bad at the tackle position. We all seem to feel our new o-line coach does a good job and knows his stuff so with that, he must have seen something in Scott to bringing him along to the Steelers from the Bills. Does anyone look at it this way or am I on an island ?

Can't be a good sign that the Steelers had to reach otu and sign Trai Essex today; suggests worry over O-line's health or the competence of the younger players.

If they have to sign a vet, I would rather see Flozell Adams brought back.

I was reading on another site that Scott isn't out of the woods yet with his mishap and possibly won't be ready for the Ravens game. Don't know how true that is but, it was mentioned.
Not only does that worry me but I never liked starting a season off playing a division opponent.

I heard talk like that also and I hope it's not true. I've also heard he'd be okay so, what to believe ?

Makes you wonder with all the different reports, if the Steelers are putting out misinformation or if reporters are guessing.
