Ha! Interesting you did this because I was thinking about it yesterday and was going to look up the numbers. Can't really argue against those numbers and anyone who has watched the last 2 games would have to be blind and ignorant to say that there hasn't been a ridiculous difference in the team and most importantly the offense since Malkin returned, compared to the previous 5 games to Malkin's return.

Good to have Geno back. Guy should've been MVP of the league 2 years ago when the NHL sold out to Ovechkin's stats. Malkin carried this team through injuries into the playoffs that year

Just playing devil's advocate here, but we didn't really have an enormous amount of injuries while Geno was playing.Since he got hurt, the injuries mounted......immensley.So,aren't those stats a bit misleading??

Geno is the only one that's come back from an injry and heck, since he came back, Alex Goligoski went down and we're 2-0 and averaging 5 goals per game, While Geno was out we were getting shut out by the Boston Bruins .

I'd personally look more at the record of the team without Geno and since Geno's return since we had more of a fuller lineup before Geno's injury, but there's simply something about Malkin being in the lineup. With or without Sid, the team wins
