Default Talbot, Gonchar in, Eaton out? Lee up

OTTAWA -- The Penguins will get a couple of injured players back when they face Ottawa tonight at 7:38 at Scotiabank Place, but might lose another.

Center Max Talbot, who is recovering from shoulder surgery, will make his 2009-10 debut, and defenseman Sergei Gonchar will play after missing 12 games because of a broken wrist.

Defenseman Mark Eaton, who has back spasms, did not participate in the morning skate and is questionable for tonight's game.

The Penguins recalled defenseman Chris Lee from their farm team in Wilkes-Barre in case Eaton cannot play.

Defenseman Brooks Orpik will not play tonight, but hopes to return Saturday in Atlanta or Monday at Florida.

    I'm shocked

I knew Eaton was gonna end up being hurt after he left practice yesterday.

back spasms at least should be something that's day to day. Also good news on Orpik returning Saturday. I figured he was really close since he's been practcing in contact drills. Letang should probably return next week I'm assuming. He's out there practicing but in a red jersey as soon as he's cleared for contact, he'll likely return in a game or 2 afterwards.

its goin to be great to get Talbot back in the line up, because like Kennedy he is one of those spark plugs, and I think that is one big piece we been missing, Dupuis and Borque have some speed, but just not the same, and I also hope he gets a chance on the Malkin/Tank line.

I completely agree. He's an energy guy but an emotional leader type that you love having on your team and is important to it as well.

He should get back on the Geno/Tank lie once he gets a couple games under his belt and the rust is off and maybe we get another healthy forward back between TFK and Kunitz
