Default Lynchburg leads the way to the future...

Could Lynchburg's title be a sign of things to come for the Pirates? I think it is. Two years ago, the farm system was all but barren, but through trades and great drafts, the farm system now has a significant amount of talent. There is an impressive collection of young arms headed Tim Alderson and including Zak Dodson, Zach Von Rosenberg, Victor Black, and Hunter Strickland.
The Position players are led by Pedro Alvarez, Jose Tabata, Tony Sanchez, Chase D'arnaud, Starling Marte, Robbie Grossman. These guys represent a bright future for our Buccos, and they are learning how to win together in the minors. The training, drills and workout regimens are the same throughout the system, so as they advance, there will be consistancy throughout their journey to Pittsburgh.
That is the biggest difference in this rebuilding process and the key reason, I believe, that a winner is coming to Pirate Baseball.

Alot has changed since this thread was initially posted. The Pirates sit at 39-38 and some of these guys have arrived. Alot has changed because that hope from 2009 starting to be realized with these young guys taking over the team. to all who believed.
