    Default One Man's Opinion....

Defense lost this one, despite the ST foul up. We came back from that mistake and went up 17-7.

But, two long touchdown drives, including the one where they had KC on their own 15 or so,with a third and 13, were killers. (Right over our safeties.)

Eason should not play, Hood should. Gay is overrated and we miss Polamalu more than any of us realize.

Unless Mendenahll is hurt, Parker never should touch the ball.

Ben was scary good, but then became a little erratic.

Still don't like the play calling. (How about just one screen pass to a RB?)

And, why didn't Tomlin throw the flag to see if Taylor had made that pick just before the long play leading to the winning FG?

I am working on next year's draft picks, which IMO should include (in this order) include Safety, OL, CB, DE, Safety, I/OLB, and new kicker.

I agree to an extent. If Ben doesn't throw the pick in the endzone, we're in cruise mode, but still, the defense choked. It broke when it was supposed to bend

The 2 ugliest plays back to back I've seen all year

Eason should not play, Hood should.

    Agree

    Gay is overrated

Never knew he was rated highly but he does stink and is a big downgrade from McFadden

and we miss Polamalu more than any of us realize.

    Agreed

Unless Mendenahll is hurt, Parker never should touch the ball.

Agreed. I still don't understand why Parker was in as often as he was. Strategically, there was no strategy. He came in and ran the ball up the middle. It's not like he was brought in to do something special like utilize his speed. Only Bruce Arians could **** that up

Ben was scary good, but then became a little erratic.

Ben was good until we needed him (game winning drive at the end of regulation, first series in OT).

Still don't like the play calling. (How about just one screen pass to a RB?)

Bruce doesn't like screens for whatever reason

And, why didn't Tomlin throw the flag to see if Taylor had made that pick just before the long play leading to the winning FG?

someone else mentioned that in OT, only the refs can view plays. the refs screwed that up and actually aided the Chiefs in victory if in fact tomlin couldn't challenge or do anything there

I am working on next year's draft picks, which IMO should include (in this order) include Safety, OL, CB, DE, Safety, I/OLB, and new kicker.

I'm looking at - CB (cause Gay stinks), DE (just too old for my liking), OL (can never have enough), Safety (time to get younger there and groom them while dick is still here)

McFadden should be insulted that the Steelers thought Gay could take his place.

Special team guys loook lost and tentative.

Arians can't counter punch and the other teams realize it. They know they have him in the corner because he only plays his game and doesn't utilize the offenses full potential.

As much good Heath does, he should have caught that ball instead of the interception. Heath catches that ball. we win the game.

Wow, I saw nice kickoffs today, I wonder if we can sign their kicker ?

I looked that rule up and OT rules on challenges is the same as 2 minutes, can only come from the booth.

Gay, is well.............The name says it all.
I heard Mike Logan on ESPN say that if he were the opposing QB he would drop back and see who #22 is covering and throw the ball in his direction every time.
    OUCH.

gay must be one of the players that looks good in practice enough to fool the coaches that he can become a starer.

of all the changes we made, the loss of mcfadden was the hurt for this team

I always thought Gay sucked at Louisville and I was always shocked that the Steelers were so high on him.

I agree Gay hasn't played well, but if I remember correctly, (read it somewhere sorry can't find a link) didn't Gay and McFadden pretty much split the reps down the stretch last year?

I am sure that the evaluation of him was based upon that tape.

He has definitely been a downgrade and looking back (hindsight is 20/20) the 2 year 10 million dollar contract McFadden signed wasn't one the Steelers couldn't have met.

McFadden is good and it was certain that he would draw big money.

That is why they had to let go of him.

Agreed... We can't give everyone a big payday.

It looks like it was chosing between Mcfadden and James or Heath.

Tough choice to make, but Gay showed a lot of potential last season with interceptions and good coverage in the nickle and dime when he was in.

I really thought McFadden was the teams best corner last year.

Exactly and I had made that point previously. We in no way, shape,or form were going to keep McFadden with Gay looking promising last year.No one knew that he'd be a dud this year.

I disagree... There are fanidiots out there in cyberland that claim to have known that. ... Don't you know that hindsight is 20/20 and some folks claim to have it as an integral part of their daily lives?....
