I'm all for Garcia, especially since it would bring Carmella DeCesare into town.

I would just as soon see Dixon get the experience....the likely hood that any QB to come in would not play next week...or even the week after. They will bring one in as insurance though....but if they could get Lefty...he would be ready to play.

If they aren't gonna give Dixon a chance...then why did they even make the pick?

For you really old Pitt fans, where are QBs Ivan Tonsic and Corny Salvaterra when we need them??

Actually reports now are that Ben will play and they aren't signing a veteran as their reasoning why Ben will play.

Ben maybe actually playing, I don't know, but sometimes I think the media just makes **** up.
Take ******tte for instance, he was way late to the party on Batch's injury and in the same article said he saw Ben and he looked OK. Then a little later it was sources say he's fine and will play. He could have the sources, but then it could be he saw him walking and not slobbering on himself so he decided he was fine.
The national guys don't have any reports that anyone was signed, so they run with that as Ben will play.

I still have my doubts, because of what they said about Goodell last night. Concussions are in the news and the politicians have their nose in it, so I'm sure Goodell is telling everyone especially the Steelers to make sure he's cleared by an independent doctor and not just team doctors.

Regardless though, I still say it's BS for him to play. Anyone with eyes saw the hit he took and it's stupid to risk it. Not only for the fact it could cause him to retire at an early age, but what it could do to the quality of his life after football.

Me 3 but at the same time I feel like they should give him a shot or **** can his ***. I think he has had enough grooming time. Time to get a new QB next year. Honestly I wouldn't mind signing a guy like Garcia through next year. Batch's bones are dried and brittle apparently and I honestly don't trust him for more than a game or 2 even if he is healthy. Whoever said we had the best QB core in the league was full of ****. Really should have signed Lefty imo.

Lefty is 3rd stringing for the 1-9 Bucs, when he could have stayed here and been the number 2 guy....dude needs to check his ego and realize this was the best gig he was ever going to get after stinking it up in Jax.
