Amid reports that the Steelers will be signing quarterback Tyler Palko to the practice squad, they haven't. Yet.

But they have added two players to the active roster, dumped two, and swapped out a player on the practice squad for a new one.

Specifically, veteran linebacker Rocky Boiman and veteran cornerback Corey Ivy have joined the team. To create spots for them, linebacker Donovan Woods and cornerback Keiwan Ratliff were cut.

The Steelers also released running back Justin Vincent from the practice squad, replacing him with guard Jonathan Palmer.

Boiman is a good player and Ivy HAS to be an upgrade over Ratliff.

Ivy was with Tomlin in TB. Both have SB rings, and were special teams aces.

Maybe you should be asking "Can any of these guys kick off?"

Fire the frickin' Special Ed Teams coach and you'll get my approval. Until that this is just moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

Boiman, was a 4th round pick of Tenn. in 02? Im pretty sure. He was a demon on the ST. And started quite a few games for the Colts, and got a ring with them in '06.

Ivy, is listed as a CB, was with Tomlin in '02 when the Bucs knocked off the Raiders for a SB victory. And...In '07..
He had a great season playing on special teams and nickelback for the top ranked Baltimore Ravens defense. His best game was against the Steelers where he had an interception, a sack, and a forced fumble that was recovered for a touchdown.
They should be a hell of an upgrade from what the Steelers just let walk. I dig it
