Re: Steelers Injuries???
Brown was a twisted ankle I remember reading last night. Right now he's questionable against the Chiefs probably because it's the Chiefs. Rainey despite the rumors supposedly doesn't have a ruptured Lung or broken rib or anything but had soem serious pain from that area. Too early to say whats going on with him. Dwyer could play against the ChiefsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show QuoteThe Standard Is The Standard and The Pittsburgh Sports Forum Is The Standard

Re: Steelers Injuries???
According to Tomlin during today's press conference...
Dwyer: "Strong chance to make it". See how it goes day-to-day.
Brown: Ankle sprain. "Participation is very much in doubt.".
Mendenhall: Get some work this week. Questionable.
Gilbert: Out.
Polamalu: Out.
Sylvester: Questionable.
Rainey: Rib injury. "He has an opportunity to play. See where it (the week) takes us. His participation will probably be limited early in the week.".Last edited by Pittsburgh; Nov-06-2012 at 01:06 PM.

Re: Steelers Injuries???
http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/...#ixzz2BSytnhxHTomlin: Brown unlikely to play for Steelers on Monday
November 6, 2012 12:53 pm
By Gerry Dulac / Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Mike Tomlin said it is unlikely Pro Bowl return specialist and wide receiver Antonio Brown will be able to play when the Steelers host the Kansas City Chiefs Monday night at Heinz Field.
Brown sprained his left ankle on a deep pass near the end of the first quarter against the New York Giants and did not return. Tomlin said his participation is "much in doubt" because his type of injury limits a player "who earns a living the way he earns a living -- with short-term quickness."
Tomlin also said Pro Bowl safety Troy Polamalu (torn right calf), who has missed six of the eight games, including the past four, has a chance to return Nov. 16 against the Baltimore Ravens. Polamalu and right tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) will begin practicing on a limited basis this week.
Tomlin made the comments during his weekly televised news conference.
Tomlin also said rookie running back Chris Rainey, who bruised his ribs against the Giants, "has a chance" to play against the Chiefs. However, he added that Rainey, who also returns kickoffs, could "big-time uncomfortable" because of the injury.
If Brown and Rainey do not play, Tomlin said wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is expected to return both punts and kickoffs. Sanders had a 63-yard punt return against the Giants.
Running back Jonathan Dwyer (quad strain), who did not play against the Giants after posting back-to-back 100-yard rushing performances, has "a strong chance" to play against the Chiefs, Tomlin said. But running back Rashard Mendenhall was listed as questionable and could miss his fourth game in a row with an Achilles tendon injury.Last edited by Pittsburgh; Nov-06-2012 at 12:59 PM.

Brown: Questionable.
Gilbert: Questionable.
Polamalu: Doubtful.
Sylvester: Questionable.Last edited by Pittsburgh; Nov-13-2012 at 12:10 PM.

Re: Steelers Injuries???
http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/...#ixzz2C7odKbLxCoach Mike Tomlin said today that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has a shoulder sprain in his throwing arm that "puts his participation into the questionable category" for Sunday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Tomlin said Roethlisberger's injury is a sprain to the sternoclavicular joint, which connects the breastbone to the collarbone.
Several other sources have told the Post-Gazette that Roethlisberger also sustained some form of rib injury when he was sacked by Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston.
The Steelers were hoping Pro Bowl safety Troy Polamalu might be able to return against the Ravens because he began working in individual drills last week. But Tomlin said Polamalu, who has missed the past five games with a torn right calf, is doubtful for the Ravens.
Tomlin also said safety Ryan Clark, who suffered a second concussion in three games, appears to be fine and could play against the Ravens.
Wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle), who did not play against the Chiefs, is still rehabilitating his injury and is questionable to play against the Ravens. He also listed running back Rashard Mendenhall as questionable. Mendenhall has missed the past four games with an Achilles injury.
Roethlisberger did not return to the game and was taken to a local hospital for a magnetic resonance imaging exam.
He was replaced by Byron Leftwich, who completed 7 of 14 passes for 73 yards. If Leftwich starts against the Ravens, it will mark his first start since Sept. 27, 2009.Last edited by Pittsburgh; Nov-13-2012 at 12:32 PM.

Re: Steelers Injuries???
Troy - Questionable. Run tomorrow. Participation during week will tell if he plays.
Gilbert - Individual limited work. Questionable.
Brown - Good work today. Limited early in week. Questionable.
Redman - Concussion. Peformed well on tests. Arrows point to participation if things continue being positive.
Hood - Questionable. Lumbar spine sprain. Participation limited early. Questionable.
Leftwich - Out. Happened late in the game according to Tomlin.
Cotchery - Out. Multiple rib fractures.
Ben - Doubtful. Had additional tests. All things are positive. Encouraged about his status.

Re: Steelers Injuries???
Are these guys not wearing any sort of rib protection? 2 games in a row and we've lost 3 players to rib injuries. That is not normalThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show QuoteThe Standard Is The Standard and The Pittsburgh Sports Forum Is The Standard

Re: Steelers Injuries???
After Friday's practice, Troy has now been listed as doubtful and Brown said he can go if Tomlin gives him the green light.

Re: Steelers Injuries???
I've never seen a rash of rib injuries/fractures like the Steelers have gone through in such a short period of time. The Injuries have been hitting Pittsburgh for the last 3 years, and the rib injury epidemic is just the latest line.

Sadly, but I'd rather have him back next week if there was any question this week. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. And ESPN has Brown listed as questionable.

(I hope ESPN is correct.)
