    Default What I think...

I know people are going to say Dixon should not have been throwing in that situation and that could be true. But I'm not going to focus on one call. I know there probably isn't a person on this board that agrees with me and that's fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But Dixon played a hell of a game considering the situation he was put in and Arians called a good enough game with the situation the coaches were put in to win this game with a 3rd string QB. The OL did a good job of protecting him and they did a good job in the run game. Mendenhall ran hard as well did Parker. The offense came together as a team imo.
The defense has it's warts and if any blame should be tossed around it is on the defense. Giving up 17 points is not acceptable on their part, when they should have stepped up their game to help the kid. I'm talking about Farrior, who Lebeau has to see age has caught up to, pretty much the entire secondary except for Carter who although wasn't anywhere near great did enough. However, even saying that there was some players who on defense who stepped up their game and played their hearts out, Timmons, Harrison, Keisel, Woodley, and Hood even showed some flashes although he still has a ways to go.
Regardless of the outcome I was proud of this offense tonight.

Dixon played like a 3rd string QB who is mroe of a runner than a thrower. We were ****ed in a close game when we needed someone that could throw to be behind center. It is what it is. I don't and didn't really expect more but that's why we lost. Dixon couldn't complete half of his passes and pick up 3rd downs with his arm, players on defense couldn't tackle, Arians ignored Dixon's ability to run outside of 1 play.

Game was closer than I thought. time to get ready for the Raiders

I think if the coaching staff gives him more manageable throws...and more roll-out...option type plays that we could have won this game. It would have only taken one or two more plays.
