Re: Black Monday
I know the Browns have a new owner and he wanted to bring in his own people, but Shurmur didn't get a fair chance.
Since 1999 when they came back into the league they've had Chris Palmer,Butch Davis,Eric Mangini,Shurmur and Terry Robicki(sp) no wonder they suck!“The key to a winning season is focusing on one opponent at a time. Winning one week at a time. Never look back and never look ahead.” Chuck Noll

Re: Black Monday
If Haley goes to the Cards, I'd love to see us make a play for Andy Reid as O-Coord.
His offense was never really the problem, his D, after Jim Johnson died, really let the team down. Take away that responsibility for him, let him focus on Offense, and I think that's a home run for us.

It's completely understandable - that organization changes coaches like Lincoln changed army commanders. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I 've heard Josh McDaniels name being mention for the Cleveland job. IMO they couldn't make a worse choice than him if they tried. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I've also heard of rumors of Nick Saban going to Cleveland and Chip Kelly going to Philadelphia. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show QuoteHidden Content Justin Cummings WILL Walk Again... NEVER GIVE UP HOPE. #PrayersForJC

I could see Kelly going to the Eagles. To me Saban is a guy who is a much better college coach than a pro,but you never know. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I second that and I think it was proven in Miami - would his situation be any different in Cleveland? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If hired, maybe he comes in and helps turn that organization around, but if I were Haslam I wouldn't make that hire because of Saban's history at the professional level and the manner in which he parted with the Dolphins.
But, that's just me.Last edited by Pittsburgh; Dec-31-2012 at 01:04 PM.

Plus he's got a pretty sweet gig at Bama. He's very well paid, and he's almost god like to the fans. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I would say this too, but honestly his best choice at this point is the NFL. I think he's accomplished all he possibly could've (and then some) with Alabama, so I think now he may want to see if he can get another shot in the big league and go far with it, like he did it Tuscolusa. And I'm pretty sure he once coached with Cleveland (the original one) back in the mid-90's.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member.
