Not at all. I think that the positive is, they got a chance to see Bourque in some quality NHL games to see what he could do and what he was worth. At the end of the day, he was nobody that they didn't have down in WBS in a cheap 2 way contract that could be pulled up in a time of need. They probably were hoping for more when in return they got a Chris Minard/Jeff Taffe clone.

No loss at all, but good for the Pens that they got a chance to get a good look at him like they did. Instead we didn't have to hold onto him longer than we had to

If you can make it with the Penguins.... Good Luck!

Detroit may take a run at him ....or maybe the Craps will have him back.

Kinda bummed to hear this. not gonna lose any sleep over it, but I would have liked to keep him around. Im just ****ed he never really got much of a shot to play with Sid or Geno. I hate when they put guys in grinding roles on the 3rd and 4th lines and expect them to produce and then when they don't, they give up on them.

Oh well, like I said, not gonna lose sleep over it, If he wasn't Ray Bourque's son I wouldn't even care, but I just feel bad for those guys who live in those giant shadows.

I'm just as pleased that I won't have to hear about Ray ****ing Bourque AGAIN during the next Pens broadcast.

Obviously I don't feel bad for him trying to get his next meal or a decent pair of shoes. I feel bad for the situation. Its gotta suck growing up playing in the shadow of one of the best hockey players of all time.

Same way I feel bad for Michael Jordan's kids...

Every time they read their name in the paper or online, it is followed by the sentence "his dad was a hall of famer and one of the greatest to ever play the game ...."

I agree, It likely weights on his mind a lot, but hockey is a business.

The fact the kid made it the NHL level is a pretty huge accomplishment, he is not a failure by any stretch of the imagination. He may develop into a good player somewhere yet. The Pens just have no use for him, I know I need not explain that to anyone here.

Nope, probably at least another 3/4 weeks from what I've read the last few days.
