Seriously, when Gay went out, I kind of thought it was a good thing.

That dude flat out sucks. The front 3 and the linebackers were doing alright all game, but when your corners and safety can't cover, what can you do?

All you fellows screaming for Arian's are morons. This was all on the secondary. OPEN YOUR FREAKING EYES. The Steelers offense at least matched the Raiders in TD's in the 4th, but how can you win when your secondary allows the Raiders to look like the Saints.

And it could have been worse. That reciever (I think it was number 15) beat his man several times and the quarterback didn't hit him.

    The secondary lost the game?

Don't go too far out on that limb, fosl.

The only worthwhile person in the secondary is Clark. Taylor doesn't seem to have it this year.. gay flat out blows, and carter..what the hell..

Burnett shows some signs of promise, but our secondary has turned absolutely rotten without Troy. This team couldn't even stop a team of grandmas in wheel chairs.

Yeah, because the secondary threw that pick in the EZ, and decided to kick a 53-Yard FG, when we never make one that long at Heinz.

Did you take pee breaks when the D was on the field?

The Steeler corners have ZEROpicks this season. Guys have had many chances, but bottom line is they just aren't making plays.

No, they just let themselves get repeatedly burned by future Hall of Fame duo Bruce Gradkowski and Louis Murphy.

And the fact that the Steelers had the ball twice inside the red zone in the 1st half and came away with 0 points. Or the fact that the Steelers had only scored 10 points at halftime. Yeah, it was all on the secondary.

As painful as that was, it only minimally matters. We had the lead for all but 2 parts of this game. The first Oakland lead lasted all of 12 seconds, the second one they still have and always will.
Bottom line, once again, we couldn´t hold a lead thanks to giving up huge passing plays.

<< Did you take pee breaks when the D was on the field? >>

    Not at all--- Xanax breaks...

The OP states the loss is ALL on the secondary--- the loss is on the ENTIRE TEAM, and the ENTIRE coaching staff !!!!

The secondary sucked, but they were far from the only reason that we lost this game.

Once again, the playcalling was subpar (to say the least) --- A QB sneak with a yard to go with your QB that just had a concussion? The 53-YRD FG try--- that was brilliant.

Numerous running plays on 2nd and 6-8 to go.

Ben's INT from inside the RZ--- btw, we had TWO RZ possessions where we ended up with ZERO points. Thats the fault of the scondary?

The endless short kickoffs that keep giving the opponents good FP.

There running game did a nice job as well-- Secondary fault there?

Listen, is the secondary our weakest link...? Hell, yes !!!

ONLY reason we lost?? Not by a longshot !!!

We ended up scoring 24 offensive points in this game.

how many points do you think we need to beat an Oakland offense that came into the game averaging 10.5 points per game this season (dead last in the league)??
