Thumbs up Sluggermatt back in Pittsburgh

Back in da' burgh! Feels great to be home.

Haven't been on the forum in a few days due to moving, unloading, and unpacking, but I'm finally back.

Life in DC didn't work out. Now looking to find the next chapter in life.

I'm glad I can finally watch all the black and gold I want on tv, too. No more having to stream games on the computer. Woo hoo!

    HERE WE GO STEELERS!

    LET'S GO PENS!

    P-I-T-T, LET'S GO PITT!!!

Yeah man you can understand my excitement. I haven't lived there since I was 3, but every time I come back to visit I miss it more.

Thanks, Steelreign. I appreciate the kind words.

Pirate Fest is early this year. The team probably wants to sell more tickets. Enjoy yourself and I may stop down too!

I definitely will enjoy myself. If you do stop down, you should meet up with kipper and I.

    Welcome back Matt!

I'll be at PirateFest this year as well. My room-mate, his dad and I will be heading down. I believe admission is actually free this year.

    Thanks, Beast!

I will let you and Steelreign know via PM about Pirate Fest. You are correct that admission is free. Not a bad deal.

Well, thought I'd share a great experience going on with me.

Guys, it was a (relatively speaking) short stay, but I enjoyed my time here in Pittsburgh. This weekend I will be moving away from town (again) because I recently accepted a position in my field (a trained chemist) for a large coal & natural gas company, and I am relocating. I'll be moving to the Gulf Coast region in TX/LA. As sad as I am to be leaving, I am excited for this great opportunity, and scared for all the thrill it will bring. Prior to the interview, I had never been to the Gulf Coast area. So I will basically be going to a new location and starting from scratch. Nobody in my family lives below the Mason-Dixon line! I am not too worried because the people seem very friendly and welcoming. Plus, I begin work in a few weeks.

In one regard, this is unfortunate because this is the second time I'll have to have left the Pittsburgh Metro Area for work.

A positive is that I will be closer to Sal. I think Sal is in Houston, TX. Maybe we can get together at some point, eh Sal?

For my sports fix, looks like I will be leaning on the Pittsburgh Sports feeds/streams again.... And thank God I will not be living near any Philadelphia, Baltimore or Washington, DC.

Thanks for sharing Matt. Sounds like an awesome opportunity. Starting from scratch is always challenging, but can be fun. I wish you luck.
Also, when the time comes, I hope you have a safe and stress-free move.

Thanks very much, guys. Appreciate all the kind words. You all rock.

Kip you are right it's definitely going to be hot... and humid! Average morning humidity is 72% & afternoon in the 90% range. Hope I know what I'm getting myself into.

For sure I will be representing the black and gold down there. I may follow the local teams, but for me first and foremost it is always Steelers, Penguins, Pirates & Pitt!
