Well guys, been down here for 10, going on 11 weeks. So far, so good. Can't believe I'm saying it, but I like it. Everything is much different than Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania. Different in a positive manner. There will always be no place like home. But I think this experience of a completely new environment is splendid! I could write a book about everything, but I'll keep it simple.

    I mostly enjoy the -

Slower pace of life (people are not in a mad rush to get from point A to point B)
Lower cost of living (most everything is less expensive here!)
Food (Cajun cooking & southern cuisine beats nearly anything I've ever had)
People (95% of people who I've interacted with are friendly, hospitable, and have welcomed me)
It's really a "sportsman's paradise" from fishing, hunting, boating, crabbing, shrimping, hiking to golf and just about everything else outdoors!

I hope the next 10-11 weeks are even better.

Thanks, IPF. You know you are in the right place when the environment around you feels like no other. I think you can relate.
