Default Mike "The colossal bull****ter" Tomlin

Just thought I'd throw that out there for those of you looking for a nickname for our sorry *** coach.

    Lets lay the line:

    Odds he gets fired today.

Odds he gets fired after this year.

    Odds he resigns.

Odds his contract is not renewed after next year.

Odds he is our coach for a long time.

Well,I would first say that I don't believe that he will be fired.Next year is the last in his current contract.I don't think the FO will rush to sign him to an extension in the offseason.Probably just let him ride it out and be done....................assuming that he doesn't right the ship.

Les is right. He's not going to be fired this off-season.I doubt they sign to an extention. I do look for several coaching changes.

    Nostraudamus, is that you?

Wow, you know with such certainty as to be angry. What if we go 2-14 next year, does he get an extension? What does your crystal ball say?

I couldn't stand cowher. He was a great rah rah guy who couln't see the forest for the trees. He could not make player desicions (Kordell), ran a buddy system roster and was glassy eyed and in a stupor on the sidelines when the gameplan failed. He got a lot out of players by pumping them up, but that doesn't win Superbowls. What most fans ignore is the fact that the players rose up and decided to win that superbowl for Bettis, cowher just rode the wave. The next year they took the year off and Cowher drowned!

I don't hate Tomlin, I am not a cool-aide drinker, I see it for what it is and am not afraid to say it. How about you?

I try to be positive though this season has been tough.

To me its just seems like there is a certain group of fans that always, hate the coach
    no matter what.

I thought Chuck Knoll was a God!!!!!

Granted the 80's and free agency were not kind to him and by the end of the 80's I knew he had to go and was glad, he made the steelers what they are. The Rooneys also!!!

Really how much blame can be put on him? He's not out there playing the game. He can't make people catch balls. He can't make Ben throw the **** ball when there's a billion people open. He can call the plays but he can't execute them. I am by no means taking all the blame off of him. He is the HC for ****'s sake. But that's exactly my point. He gets paid to coach, not to play. Our D hasn't been very impressive all season either but everytime someone brings up Lebeau's name people automatically **** bricks and get on their high horse and say it can't possibly be anyone else who is at fault besides Arians and Tomlin! It's ridiculous IMO
"He had no teeth, and he was slobbering all over himself. I'm thinking, 'You can have your money back, just get me out of here. Let me go be an accountant." I can't tell you how badly I wanted out of there." Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

George Siefert, Barry Swtizer, Jon Gruden...

Is Tomlin next in that progression?

See... I always felt like Noll was a stubborn mule that rode the wave of great drafts and players that didn't move around due to no free agency. When those drafted players started going, some of the league play started changing, Noll started getting exposed as a coach (1980's)

In hindsight, all coaches have their weaknesses and strengths. Noll got the utmost amount of the talent he had. There's a lot of coaches that can't do that. When the talent wasn't there, he wasn't someone that could squeeze more out of what he had. Someone like Cowher, I always felt got more out of the talent he had until it got exposed, usually in the AFCCG. That's when his weakness of being stubborn and not being able to adjust would come in.

I'm personally trying to figure out Mike Tomlin's strength. His weakness appears to be poor decision making and stubborness
