Default Pirates Announce Opening Day Roster. Osuna Sent Down

The Pirates announced their Opening Day Roster and nothing there seemed to be a surprise except the news that Alen Hanson beat out Jose Osuna for the last spot. This has been of of the better springs for Hanson and he is out of eligibility which is most likely why he remained.

If Osuna heats it up in AAA, he'll be up sooner than later.

Can you smell the green grass?!

3 outfielders? I guess Bell is the 4th.

    Adam Frazier

Bell can play OF, but I really hope that they just let him focus solely on 1B. He's our 1B of the future, not a super utility guy. That's what Frazier is there for, and Jaso who can play a little OF too

Jaso can stand out there, but i dont want him out there.
Frazier will be out there from time to time, and hes not terrible, but as soon as Harrison gets hurt hes back to second.
And a call up for an outfielder.
Bell isnt very goid defensively, and i hope hes stronger mentally that Pedro was, or we back where we started

Alen Hanson will play 2B if Jhay gets hurt, until they can option him back down.

Bell is learning 1B. He's much better defensively than Pedro and more mentally capable. He was a 5 tool guy. I think he'll make the 1B transition. He may never be a world beater defensively, but that's okay, if his bat does what its expected to do
