    Default Loe goes to Milwaukee

    Loe goes to Milwaukee
    By Dejan Kovacevic | 1:07 p.m. Friday

Kameron Loe, a free-agent pitcher the Pirates had contacted, just signed a minor league contract with the Brewers, according to a source directly involved in the negotiation.

Loe will make $650,000 if he makes Milwaukee's roster, plus as much as $200,000 in performance bonuses, and he will have an invitation to spring training.

This was our original report on the Pirates' interest in Loe.

    *************************************

The Pirates internal value on Loe was 649.999.00. He was just too expensive NH told a souce. When questioned further NH told the source that the Pirates really wanted to sign Loe but he wouldn't drop his asking price.

That might have been too high.

didn't really want Loe anyways. I mean, the Brewers aren't losing anything taking a chance on Loe and I guess for that small amount it wouldn't have been a bad decision for the Pirates and their open comp. for the BP.

...but it's not like Loe was even good before he sat out all of last year and most of the season before. I guess should've never liked that we were interested in Loe in the first place

When questioned even further NH said that we as an organization can't be wasting that kind of money on a player. That extra $1000 would have put us way over our budgeted payroll for 2010. What do you think money grows on trees he was heard to say as he walked away picking up a penny that was lying on the ground.

Actually I don't think anyone will give it any thought. This is dumpster diving at it's finest.

Pretty much. Loe was way at the bottom of the dumpster, but I guess we're cheap for not signing a guy that's barely played since 2007
