Can Mendenhall please cough all over Willie Parker? Maybe take a drink from his glass or sneeze on him. I can't wake up Sunday and know Willie is starting for the Steelers. It will literally ruin my day even if the Patriots lose.

I read somewhere that he didn't have the "cold flu like symptoms" but the stomach flu.

I don't know what kind of flu I had as I hate doctors and only go when I have no other choice. But it knocked me on my butt. I stayed drugged up for a week. Kind of like that commercial for Nyquil. But popping motrin and drinking hot tea spiked with bourbon, honey and lemon works much better than Nyquil.
So I see no way he could have had any version of this kind of flu and be able to come back this soon. If so I want his drugs.

First, if Willie plays we have a very good chance of losing to the Browns. Mendenhall plays and we crush them.

Come back down from the ledge, bro. Its the BROWNS.

And I dont mean to bring too much of a downer attitude toward Mendenhall but I would really like to wait until we see him perform against a good team before we really think he's better than FWP--and I think FWP sucks btw.

Last season FWP averaged 5 ypc against the Chargers over two games and some 52 carries. Against the worst rushing D's (bottom 17) in the league last season WP rushed for:
    5.5 YPC against Houston
    4.4 YPC average against Cleveland
    5.4 YPC against New England
    and struggled against Cincinnati

This season Detroit and San Diego are #21 and 27th respectively against the rush.

Just sayin'...last season against similarly ranked opponents WP averaged just as many YPC as Mendenhall. Not saying that WP is better than Mendenhall or that Mendenhall is a fluke--certainly is better in short-yardage situations and goal-line situations--but it is something to keep in perspective.
