Default All in all, could have been worse

The Steelers needed several things to go their way this weekend involving multiple teams. Some unfortunately didn't go our way but we still have life, as little as it might be.

Week 16...What we needed or wanted to happen.

    Steelers beat Ravens....happened.
    Philly beat Denver....happened.
    Pats beat Jags.....happened.
    Bolts beat Titans...happened.
    Indy beat Jets....didn't happen.
Miami beat Houston...would have been better....didn't happen.

    4 out of 6 ain't bad. 66.6%

    Week 17

We need 75% of things to happen.

    Steelers beat Miami.

Need a combination of two loses by any of three of the following teams:

    Ravens, Jets, Houston.

    Pluses concerning next weeks games:

Pats and Cincy do not want to lose next week, could decide seeding and also they may have to face the team they lose to Sunday again, by letting them gain a wildcard spot. Also don't want to go into the playoffs on a loss.

Miami has nothing to play for but to try and be the spoiler. Some players will just be looking to just finish the season; without an injury.

Solid post, and I have to agree, but that Colt game really has me steaming---

There is no way that the Colts should have tanked that game.

As far as the Pats and Cincy--- If the Pats win (and they play earlier), Cincy might just want to get out of town healthy--

Thoughts all the games of interest were 1 pm games with the exception of the Ravens? Wondering if the league will **** with any start times?

Gonna hate waiting for this week to pass to get to Sunday, and just thinking over in my mind if the scenarios fall in place. Gonna have to be a Pats and Cincy cheerleader, and then even maybe a Oakland cheerleader.

Cincy might be thinkin knock jets out so they dont have to see them again,
Cinci don't want to see us tho. I think the Pats will play to win. Belicheat doesn't like to lose even if it is fairly meaningless and he doesn't like to sit players either although a lot of people suspect Brady is playing injured. I dunno. Doesn't look great for us but that is what you get for losing to the teams we lost too

Asking for 3 out of 4 events to happen, with only 1 of those having any control of, doesn't look too good. But I guess stranger things than that have happened. Can't depend on hoping for a horse shoe up your ***!

Yea... Not good odds... But as you said, "stranger things..."... I'm not holding out hope, only gonna enjoy our last game and let the chips fall where they may....

Only other change I heard (If it actually was one) was the Philly game moved to 4:15PM

    (other than the Jet-Cincy game)

Here's how it's going to break down, IMO, if the Steelers are making it in.

At 1 PM, the Steelers obviously have to win and the Pats HAVE to beat the Texans. Those two things are pretty much absolutes.

At 4 PM, the Ravens will probably have to lose to the Raiders, because.....

With NBC and the NFL ****ing over the Steelers by moving the Bengals game to 8 PM, they will have nothing to play for, and if they do, then the Steelers are ****ed anyway (it would mean the Texans won their game).

That is how it'll go down if the Steelers make it in. It's not looking good, the odds got even worse when NBC moved the Bengals game. It basically gave the Steelers one less way to get in.

The fix is in to make that late game the most watched game of the season.

Everything will be riding on that game.

If we are counting on the bungles to get in then we are ****ed. They will probably play 3rd stringers just to make sure they lose if it means we will miss the playoffs.

If they show some heart and win for the glory I might change my opinion of them slightly. I hate these gutless teams. I was going to root for the Colts if / when we got eliminated but

I dunno who is going to be the smallest of evils that actually has a chance. Maybe NO or the Boltz yikes
