scare: Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said "everybody's fine" after a stretcher was wheeled into the coaches room after the game. No one was brought out. Asked if anyone was in trouble, Bylsma pointed to the players' locker room and said, "The ones who are in trouble are in there."

... Rather melodramatic... The hockey season resembles NCAA basketball in as much as you are only playing for a "seed". The regular season just gets you ready to go for the post season.

TAMPA, Fla — Coach Dan Bylsma and multiple Penguins officials declined comment Saturday afternoon after an emergency response team carried a stretcher into the dressing room reserved for coaches at St. Pete Times Forum.

Bylsma's traditional postgame meeting with players was delayed by several minutes before he and assistant coach Tony Granato exited the coaches' room. An empty stretcher had been removed from that room when Bylsma addressed the media around 5:40 p.m., after the Penguins' 3-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Pressed for details on the stretcher incident by reporters, Bylsma shook his head and said, "No."

Other members of the hockey operations staff spotted walking in the hallway were: general manager Ray Shero; head athletic trainer Chris Stewart; head equipment manager Dana Heinze; strength and conditioning coach Mike Kadar; video coordinator Jim Britt; and senior director/team operations Frank Buonomo.

Hmmm...But, Yeo was not seen at all? Did someone finally put him in the 'scorpion death lock' or something?

TAMPA, Fla. -- Penguins coach Dan Bylsma and other team officials declined to comment on a situation after the team's 3-1 loss to Tampa Bay in which a stretcher was taken into the coaches' locker room at the St. Pete Times Forum by medical emergency response personnel.

Several minutes later, the stretcher was brought back out, empty, although the medical personnel continued to enter and leave the room for a short time.

Asked if someone was having a medical issue, Bylsma pointed toward the locker room and said, "No, the ones in trouble are in there."

Pressed further on whether there was a problem, he shook his head and said, "No."

Among those who were seen going about their business as normal after the game were Bylsma, assistant coach Tony Granato, general manager Ray Shero, conditioning coach Mike Kadar, video coach Jim Britt, head trainer Chris Stewart, head equipment manager Dana Heinze and senior director of team operations Frank Buonomo.

I like that quote. I love the schemes that Blysma has brought to the Pens, but I was having my doubts whether or not he had what it took to drop the hammer on these boys when they play like this. He seemed too chummy to me. I don't mind a chummy coach so much, just as long as he knows there is a time for fun, and a time to get serious. This quote makes me think he does know, and the time for serious work is NOW. This will be a real test of Dan's mettle. I'm rooting for him all the way.

I found it very hard to get angry at Yeo for this particular power play. Bad coach or not, one shot on goal in this prime situation is unacceptable.
