Default What are we waiting for?

Bills have fired their entire staff this morning. I say fire our special teams coach now and offer Bobby April, who was dismissed this morning, a job immediately.

I hate that we wait and wait. By the time we get around to letting anyone go guys like April will find jobs elsewhere. Wouldn't surprise me if Cowher's contacts April. I say get to him before Cowher does.

The end of season team meeting probably just ended an hour or so ago.

Then Tomlin has to face Art II and take a call from Dan.

I look for announcements to be made during the presser tomorrow.

Not soon enough for these underachieving coaches.

I would strongly doubt Cowher going for April. April was the last decent ST coach we had, that my memory is serving at the moment, and Cowher ran his *** out of here unfairly. But if we can get April at the expense of Ligasheky, I would be game fo sho.

We are probably waiting for Tomlin to do nothing. I hope he proves me wrong, but we will see.

You may be right about us waiting until the "good" candidates are gone. I agree with the Rooney's cautious approach, for the most part. "don't get caught up in the hype" is definitely a plus, however, if you are going to make moves (as they said) you better spur that horse and get it in the race before you're just eating dust.

There were 11 head coaching changes last year. All of them eventually went looking for assistants. If we know there is an assistant on this team who is as good as gone then lets pull the trigger now before we are competiting with 11 other teams for assistants.

Bobby April would definetly fix what is ailing us in my opinion.

Let's pick these assistants off like birds on a high wire.

I think Bill was really eyeing that Carolina job and when Carolina came out and said that Fox was staying it threw a monkey wrench into his plans.

Mike n Mike in the morning had someone on this mornign (can't remember his name) but they basically said that because of the looming lock out in 2011, that a lot of coaches who normally would be fired, are going to be kept around for the lame duck year in 2010.

That way, the FO doesn't have to hire a coach for the 2011 season and they don't have a guy just sitting around collecting a paycheck.

The lockout in 2011 gives the owners a good reason to wait until after next year to fire their coaches.

And basically this means that guys like Cowher might be **** out of luck until 2012, unless they want to coach in Buffalo.
