Then he'll have a lot of time to remember what it was like to Win a Stanley Cup.... dause the last team with a "tough" defense to make the finals was the Ducks and Sens in 2006-07 and it doesn't appear to be getting any "tougher" with soffer offensive minded defensive teams like the Blackhawks, Sharks and Crapitals on defense.

Tough defense hasn't gotten Calgary, Vancouver, Minnesota near a cup.

Can't have everything. I'd gladly sacrifice blue line grit for a blue line that can move the puck. without that, this team doesn't make the playoffs and good luck finding grit that can move the puck.

I'd settle for a team that didn't turn the puck over so much in their own zone.

hey i beleive as the penguin shave a BIG problem when it's time to add a defenseman .
You don't need 3 offensive defensemen to win game
( you dont need 3 Whitney either ) ((( unfortunately , that's what the penguins have right now)))

time to find a a maybe two defensemen able to protect the goalie

and make sure as if anybody charge on the goalie

that will be a price to pay

I think Mario and Shero need to send Geno to the Olympics with instructions to convince Anton Volchenkov to sign with the Penguins next season!!!!

I agree with some of it. They don't need 3 offensive defensemen but at the same time you don't want to get rid of either of the 3 we have. Personally I would go ahead and take the jump and trade gonch, it is going to happen eventually we might as well start getting used to that eventuality. Would clear a spot for Engellend too

well if a team can't make sure as he wont get charged in almost every game ( by bozos ) then as good to trade him

if you dont know what his the purpose of charging , well i will explain

    here

here , it's have the purpose to deconcentrate the goalie ( get him out of his

    game )

and i dont understand why they are not a ****ing players on this team

that make sure as it's stop.

are they on drugs ? not sure

goalies are as important on this team as Crosby and Malkin or anybody else

strange as Bylsma dont understand that

Yea I know what charging is all about, but that's not Fleury's fault. Hell, he probably handles it as well as anyone. I agree they need to get more protection in front of the net, but they can do that AND keep MAF. Maybe the league should be pressured to better protect the goalies.

They also need more presence in front of the OTHER guy's net.
