    Default Opening day Tickets

Presale just went up this morning I just picked up my opening day tickets. I love the outfield reserved seats. Not too pricey and still a good view of the entire ballpark.

    Hmmmm....

I think I might look into Opening Day tickets for a change. I usually avoid them cause you never know what kind of weather you can get.

thanks for the heads up, Wiggles

You can buy tickets to any game at Piratefest starting January 29, then I guess they'll go on sale for the rest of the public shortly after.

Maybe it is that far away. I don't really remember. Either way they said that you can buy any game at PirateFest.

That's pretty smart marketing there. Any idea if they are offering any for the Caravan? I was thinking on hitting up the 28th at the Fez in Hopewell down the road from me (which is listed incorrectly as Beaver Falls which is a good 30+ minutes away)

This doesn't really have anything to do with anything, but I got a call just now from some Pirates ticket representative. I guess they're trying to sell me some sort of season/at least partial season plan by giving me a VIP Tour of PNC Park. I had it scheduled for tomorrow, but he called to ask me if I wanted to switch it to next Thursday because if I go then Zach Duke, Andy LaRoche, Neil Huntington, and Frank Coonelly will be in attendance. They're really going all out on this one.

Why not just wait for game 2. For the next 80 games (except for fireworks) you can just about sit on John Russell's lap.

sure you can.... but it's the atmosphere for which you goto Opening Day. It's that first home game of the season, the smells but it's also one of the few chances to goto a Pirates game with a positive atmposphere in a sold out bal park. you don't get the positive atmosphere on firework night games

Nuff said, opening day is special. Family traditions and such. Not this year but next and forever after that I will be taking my son. Just as my dad did. Yes there where many a times we froze our asses off at 3 rivers and left in the 7th but I was always excited. My wife goes with me now but she is just a placeholder til my son is old enough. Only day I take the boat is opening day. I like my little tradition.
