Doushmandzadeh : Another Malcontent Wideout?
Did the Shehawks just win last week? What is he *****in about then?
Houshmandzadeh to Seahawks coaches: 'Throw me the ball'
Seahawks receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh continued voicing a complaint he's had since his tenure in Seattle started this season: He's not getting the ball enough.
"I just got to get these coaches to realize, throw me the ball," Houshmandzadeh told reporters, via the AP. "Maybe I've said it too much. I just got to show them now."
Houshmandzadeh, coming his best game of the season with two TDs and five receptions in a 41-0 win against Jacksonville, has been unhappy with his role in the offense.
He's caught 27 passes for 325 yards with the two scores in five games. That puts him on pace for 86 catches this year, off the 98-catch average he had the past three seasons in Cincinnati.
After the Seahawks lost 21-15 to the Bears last month, Houshmandzadeh, who had jawed with the Bears prior to the game after they declined to sign him as a free agent last winter, expressed dissatisfaction with his role.
"I was open all game," he said after catching four passes for 35 yards. "They just didn't throw me the ball."
Houshmandzadeh, who joined Seattle in free agency, said back spasms he suffered from in training camp limited his production early in the season.
"Now that I'm feeling better," he said, "I've got to get my game back to where it needs to be." -- Sean Leahy
