The only player in the NHL more overpaid than MAF is Jordan Staal

Beats the **** out of me. Maybe he was too important production wise for WBS and not needed that badly up here to take away from WBS?

    Just making guesses

wonder what Skoula did to get into the doghouse... and I think its time to give Tangradi a try up here, **** the gettin him use to the speed and all that in the AHL (of course if he is not injured or anything). He sounded like he was doin decent in pre-season, so why not?

Cause it's not an extended length type of deal. Guys like Conner are more organizational depth guys that you don't worry about developing so you move them between the AHL and NHL for a game or so and don't worry about it. I think if someone were out for a longer period of time and a hold needed to be filled, you'd see one of the better forwards up either perhaps...

Im being real lazy here but is Wallace still in the system. I liked what he brought to the table. As for Gogo being hurt. Yaaahhhhhoooooooo. Never liked him, id rather see Skoula in then him.
ďItís a game of emotion, itís a game of hard work.
Itís a game of passion, Kovalchuk, what he did the other day Ė thereís not one guy who was close to doing something. Maybe Maxime Talbot at the end with one second left. Hes about 5ft8 pfft"

    That makes .....

Ok, you might be the only person that would rather see Skoula in there

Tim Wallace ? He's still playing at WBS. He's at that organizational depth age of 25 right about now. Man, I can't really remember much about him when he played

Ive never liked Gogo. To me he is Ryan Whitney but smaller. In my eyes his a liabilty everytime hes on the ice.

Wallace worked his bag off and had bigtime speed. He only played 16 games last year but he was a plus player.

That's why I never liked Ryan whitney, he was the biggest 6'4" 220+lbs. ***** on skates I had ever seen. I can give Gogo a pass since he's actually small, Whitney backed off from midgets like Martin St.Louis ion forechecks

I remember Wallace being n the roster, I just don't remember him. something tells me he was nothing more than Jeff Taffe type filler. A guy with no skillset except that he won't screw up on either end of the ice too badly

    Got significant playing time.

I would hope a defensmen is on Shero's shopping list. I know we're not going to get some all-star type but some guy like Gill or some kind of physical presence would be nice.

He started off alright doing the little things that don't get you noticed. I think he got too complacent and resorted to his prior form, that just so happened to have him in exile.

I was thinking about this the other day, during the Craps game I think but I'm not sure anymore that a physical d-man is what we need. For our price range under the cap, the physical defenseman we can get will be a liability with the puck and slow. both of those things would kill this team more than not having a physical presence to go along with Brooks in the defense.

What we need is a smart defensive defenseman. He can be soff, that's fine, but he's got to be good defensively. I say this because I'm starting to sort of feel and see the absence of Riob Scuderi more amongst the inexperience at defense. When Gonchar is your best defensive defenseman, you've got problems. That should never be

I don't know about Gonch being our best defensive d man Kip. I'd say Orpik is.

In any case, another solid stay-at-home d man would be a good thing for a cup run.

On a side note, I don't understand the hate for Gogo. He's basically a rookie for pete's sake. I don't think he'll be another Whitney - he's already better defensively than him. The guy doesn't have the size to be physical, just like Letang. But I think he'll learn to play better positionally and use leaverage to his advantage. I remember the venom directed towards Scuds the first couple of years he was here, and he turned out ok.
