    KEY TO THE GAME
Evgeni Malkin: What makes the Penguins so dangerous is their ability to throw a player many in the hockey world consider “the best player in the world” over the boards two out of every four shifts. Sidney Crosby has been sensational all season with 34 goals in 56 games. His fellow all-world center, Evgeni Malkin, is getting back to playing at the same level. Malkin has picked up 12 points (6G-6A) during a current season-long seven-game winning streak. With both players continuing to play some of their best hockey, the Penguins are going to be tough to beat coming down the stretch.

Sidney Crosby was once again the best player on the ice. In the second period alone, the Penguins captain scored three goals to record his fifth career hat trick. It was his third three-goal game of the season, becoming the first Penguin to reach that feat since Alex Kovalev (2001-02).

Crosby finished the game with three goals on five shots and won 61 percent of his faceoffs (11 of 18).
