    Default Farm weaknesses

What are your main concerns for our farm system. We all know that our farm is deep, but there are still some areas that need improving.
    1) More power bats: Seems like past Alverez there is not much in the way of big time power. We have tons of speedy guys (Marte, Grossman, Hernandez, etc) but I can't help but think this needs to be addressed through trades or the draft.
2)More "big time" players. Again, other than Alverez it seems like we lack the superstar caliber player. We have some guys who might be that type but only one that really projects to be a force.
    3) Shortstops all seem cut from the same mold: Other than Argenis Diaz, who won't have the bat to be a starter, it seems like our shortstops all have one thing in common. They won't be MLB shortstops.
Holt, Cunningham, Mercer, D'Arnaud, all project to move positions at some point. They all have great bats for SS but there is a chance that they will all need position switches by the time they are ready.

1 Power. This is probably the unanimous choice. Once Pedro makes the bigs we are void of anything resembling power. Some say that Starling Marte has 20 homer power potential... so in general he's a player im really intrigued to follow.

To be honest that's really the only legit concern I have. We are super stocked right now with pitching, a bunch of guys with different stuff and styles...

We have some middle infield prospects that are interested. I wouldn't mind seeing a slight improvement in that area but it's not crucial.

OF needs power it has speed and catcher is there in Sanchez

I like the way the Minors are looking. We need some guys to show a little mroe impact, become more of a breakout type for our system to really improve in the eyes of the "experts"

I have a feeling that focus of this draft is going to be on offensive production, it almost has to be. The more power you draft, the better the odds become that some power bats hit the big league level.
This is a good time to go after offensive talent, since we got a lot of arms in the system now. A nice balance of arms and bats is the goal.

All due respect, JimY, but our system is NOT that deep. It just looks like that since NH has started to stock it up, after Littlebrain left it barer than Mother Hubbard's cupboard. We have a goodly number of pitchers (so many, in fact, that they're going to have to double up in some instances), but beyond that (Alvarez, that is, and maybe Sanchez), there really is nothing.

That's why, IMO, we'll be drafting more position players in the next draft (using Best Player Available logic, of course).

The system NEEDS bats! The pitching is mostly unproven due to the fact that most of the pitching depth hasn't pitched past A ball.

"Holt, Cunningham, Mercer, D'Arnaud, all project to move positions at some point." That's not true. Holt and Cunningham haven't played in the system long enough to determine anything. Mercer and D'Arnaud both have the ability to play SS.

Argenis Diaz is probably playing his last year in the organization.
