I'm not that concerned about the Vikes. I think they're a little over-rated.

Who have they beaten? The rats? Baltimore is showing they're beatable.

SF? Yeah, they beat SF. Big ****ing deal. Same for the fudge packers.

Add the stains, lions and someone who I'm forgetting and it's not all that impressive.
Sweet,we haven't beaten anyone of relevance either.Titans,Chargers,Lions, and Browns. No world beaters there.

    No argument.

I still think the Vikes are a little over-rated.

Oh,I agree. If we played as well as we were last year,I'd say we beat them easily. This year............not so much.

Lets keep the offense rolling. The D still held the clowns to only one TD.

Should have lost to the Turdbirds, Flacco did what he needed to for them to win, blame the coach...he cut Matt Stover

Should have lost to the 49'ers...last second prayer pass from Favre
Add the stains, lions and someone who I'm forgetting (the Rams) and it's not all that impressive.

They will not play the top team in the NFC South (New Orleans)until possibly the playoffs...they play Carolina instead, because they were the 1st place team in the south last year and have fallen to the basement in that division.
They play all of the NFC West.

    What they have left:
    7 Sun, Oct 25 @ Pittsburgh 1:00 PM
    8 Sun, Nov 1 @ Green Bay 4:15 PM
    9 BYE WEEK
    10 Sun, Nov 15 Detroit 1:00 PM
    11 Sun, Nov 22 Seattle 1:00 PM
    12 Sun, Nov 29 Chicago 1:00 PM
    13 Sun, Dec 6 @ Arizona 4:15 PM
    14 Sun, Dec 13 Cincinnati 1:00 PM
    15 Sun, Dec 20 @ Carolina 8:20 PM
    16 Mon, Dec 28 @ Chicago 8:30 PM

And lets not forget the 7-0 team the week after. Unbeaten teams heading to the Burgh usually don't fair well so this is awesome for us. We should be ready for this game and motivation will not be a factor this week.
I don't know, man..... I like the optimisim, but this team is decidedly different on defense this season... It will not be as easy to stifle these opposing teams IMO.

We will break Favre's soul. We need to come out and go no huddle from the gun right from the start until we have a 3 TD lead...force them to pass the rest of the game, pin our ears back, and let Timmons, Harrison, Farrior, and Woodley go to work.

That was 5 years ago. We also used to not choke away 2nd half leads back then too and could hold teams like the Lions' offense under 20 points.

Not that I don't think we'll beat the vikings just don't think the past is meaningful

I so want you to be right.

Didn't get to see the game Sunday as I'm not local but I don't get a good sense from us letting the Browns score two TDs.

The Min Vikings are a good team...Sidney Rice, Bernard Berrian, Percy Harvin...Brett Farve can still throw the ball...and Adrian Peterson is the best back in the league bar none.

Our D has been our biggest weakness thus far this season (besides Sweed ROFL)...we're without our best DL...we gave up 4.0 YPC against the Browns...we haven't been able to get pressure on the QB...and our secondary has looked awful.

I am not sure that history matters too much when lookin at the above facts.

    I just hope we win.

The problem is that the above LBs have been surprisingly non-existent for much of the season man.

I'd love to have your optimism/confidence in this team...but its really hard to do considering the product we've seen consistently on the field.

(and PS: I think we've built leads of pretty decent size other times this year and watched the D allow it ALL to slip away...San Diego)

It's still a top 10 defense. #2 in rushing and #3 in total yards. I will take that any day of the week.

Well... the one browns TD was on a kickoff return and that return should've come back since there was a blatant holding call that the refs ignored. Hell the announcers were *****ing about it. If those blind bastards can see it

I dunno, I think you guys are taking the Vikings a little lightly. I don't care what kind of a ****** Favre is, he can stil throw and make the big plays. With no pass rush (and the pass rush shouldn't come to life against a good O-Line like the Vikes), I'm worried a little about us defending against the Vikes. Throw in, missing Aaron Smith and facing a good O-Line and one of the best backs in the league... stopping the run might not be real simple sunday.

The Vikes have a strong run defense. They started giving up yards to Ray Rice when they got too comfortable with a lead Sunday, before that, the Rats run game was going NOWHERE and Flacco looked like ****. The Vikes defense went real vanilla towards the end.

I like our chances through the air against the Vikes but then again... we have some issues with pass protection against 4-3 defenses.

This won't be an easy game, the thing that has me optimistic is that this is the first "true" challenge for the team this year and I think they will prepare mentally strong for this one like they had last season.
