Considering that Canada and the USA are winning and the Wings aren't, I'd rather watch the Olympics =]

It was bothering me at first, but that's when I was hoping USA might be able to win a bronze. But since the 5-3 win over Canada, I've been all about it. Now I can't wait until Sunday. GO USA!

    X2....

Yea, it's aggravating with the 2-week stoppage of league play. But overall, I've found it extremely entertaining as well as a good addition to Olympic hockey... There have been no injuries, so the only concern is "how quick" everyone gets back into the groove.

... Furthermore, it could be looked-at from either side of the coin... Is it good for them to be in the Olympics and take the time off from the season... Or is it "corrupting" the original Olympic concept with professionals playing in them as well as being bad for the league...

So..... Which is it? ... Half full or half empty?

With the Nhl drawing so much more from europe, who would go watch olympic hockey if the nhl'ers were not there. When you get the best of the best, shorter tv time outs, i found very good hockey to watch.

The Canadian influence who runs the league simply doesn't want to travel to Russia in four years, that's why their "grand plan" was to have Team Canada win this Gold, and then think of every BS excuse known to avoid having to go over there.

If the games were in the US this wouldn't be an issue.

I think you owe it to the Russian players to allow them to play on their soil.

I agree. They changed the ice size, the OT rules, the shootout rules, etc. Is anyone really surprised that Canada won the Gold and the USA the Silver?
