Forerunner to more cap room and/or a trade deadline addition, maybe?

They are probably making room to bring back Brashear. hahaha.

Honestly, I think they will bring in a tougher enforcer....Cote IMO was a borderline enforcer, just tough enough to take on the H/W's , but not tough enough to raise eyebrows. I was only half joking with the brashear comment. I think that is a pretty good possibility, but you can bet that Philly has no intentions of using Carcillo as their main enforcer.

I definitelty look for a move in this area for Philly.
The only player in the NHL more overpaid than MAF is Jordan Staal

If the Flyers were smart (which they aren't), they wouldn't bring in an enforcer since they are pretty useless especially on a team where guys can stand up for themselves pretty well. Use that spot and put in a guy with some actual hockey skill. the Flyers 4th line has been a monstrous joke on the ice for decades. Nothing but goons that can't play hockey on a team often constructed for the 1970's.
