Default Dust off your #82 Jersey's...EL is back in town....

I am reading we signed Randle El! Flippin' sweet!

I would say that means bye-bye Limas.....

An old familiar face is coming back to the Steelers. Wide receiver Antwaan Randle El signed back with the Steelers on Monday evening after being released by the Washington Redskins. Randle El was drafted in the second round (62nd overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft by the Steelers after playing his college football at Indiana where he was a quarterback. On March 12, 2006, Randle El signed a seven-year, $31 million deal to play for the Washington Redskins after the Super Bowl 40 win against the Seahawks.

**** yes! I am mostly excited because my favorite Steeler polka has a line in it about him and now I can sing it without editing.

Ya, I'm a nerd, move on...

This is kind of nice to hear though.

EL was, and now is, a good Steeler. Pained me when he left town but was happy for him he cashed in on the SB.

Free-agent safety Will Allen and wide receiver Arnaz Battle have agreed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on three-year deals, the team announced Monday.

The Steelers also agreed to a three-year deal with former wide receiver Antwaan Randle El, a source close to the situation told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

After Washington released him last week, Randle El's first choice was to return to the franchise that he helped win a Super Bowl.

Both Allen and Battle have links to the Steelers' coaching staff. Allen spent the past six seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he once worked with current Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. And former San Francisco 49ers special teams coach Al Everett, now Pittsburgh's special teams coach, recommended Battle to Tomlin.

Battle is expected to help the Steelers as a backup wide receiver and offer help on special teams. He started 38 games for the 49ers from 2005 through 2007 and caught 141 passes during that span.

With Allen joining the Steelers, it now looks likely that free-agent safety Ryan Clark will depart. Clark was visiting the Miami Dolphins on Monday.

With Randle El and Battle in the fold, Pittburgh could cut ties with former second-round pick Limas Sweed.

I wonder if Hines is going to bow out slowly now due to age and slowness and Randel El takes his place in the slot. Wallace, El, and Tone I like it.

get the **** out of here... really?

If we didn't pay a lot for the guy, I don't have a problem with it, at all.

Wow - the Rooney's are buying like drunken sailors in FA, seemingly.

Maybe we'll sign a QB also, might need one.

I don't know about that. Hines is 34 and El will be 31 in August, not exactly a youngster in footbal years.l

That's pretty much my reaction. What the ****?? I always liked ARE so it's awesome to see him back with the Steelers as long as it's not for too much.

The Redskins probably regret ever signing him to such a big deal. But they could say the same about a lot of other players they signed as well.

Wow, weird **** going on today! This news makes the Battles signing all the stranger. Maybe he's just camp fodder.
